It’s been a busy month! This release marks one of the the biggest additions of data that Northwest Trails has ever seen. Perhaps the most significant change is a wealth of data in the North Vancouver, BC, area gleaned from Garmin Connect courtesy of Simoneyes. We are now starting to see BC fill in a [...] Summer has finally hit the Pacific Northwest and that has spurred an uptick in data submissions. With GeoWoodstock VIII and the Groundspeak Lost & Found Celebration occupying a good amount of my time lately, I haven’t had a chance to update the mapsets until now, so there is a lot of new data to be [...] Summer is underway (well, at least school is out, even though the weather seems stuck in April mode)! Here are some new releases of the mapsets to help kick off the season right. Enjoy! Northwest Trails Version 1.59 Download Corrected the surface type for the Maynard Burn Way Trail (near Sequim, WA) – error pointed [...] As many of you are aware, Northwest Trails has never displayed properly in Garmin’s BaseCamp software, and with the new release of MapSource 6.16.1, it was failing to display properly there as well. This was due to changes in the way that Garmin was handling the preview map in the software. Well, after some trial-and-error [...] Thanks to a project shipping at work, a family vacation, and a mother in the hospital, it’s been a very busy couple of months! This means that I haven’t been able to get a release of Northwest Trails out for a while and so this one is packed with new submissions. There have been some [...] I’ve been busy updating various mapsets during the past month and am ready to release new versions of three of them: Northwest Trails, Northwest Snow Trails, and Northwest Topos! I’ll start with Northwest Topos, since the most significant changes have happened there. Coverage for Washington is now complete with the addition of many new tiles [...] I’ve posted new versions of a couple of mapsets today: Northwest Topos It’s been a while since I’ve updated this mapset, although I’ve not lacked a desire to do so. If all goes well I will have Washington State complete (and the mapset out of “beta” status) within a month. This update adds a few [...] This morning I posted an updated beta of Northwest Topos (version 0.02). In addition to numerous fixes and tweaks, the following map tiles have been added: Sandpoint E Sandpoint W Chewelah E Chewelah W Bonners Ferry E Bonners Ferry W Colville E Colville W Port Townsend E Port Townsend W Sauk River E Sauk River [...] I finally got the initial cut at Northwest Topos posted.
