This morning I was making an update to the Switchbacks.com forum software and tweaking some settings, and the next thing you know – BAM!  No database.  Attempts to recover failed, and so I was left to restore an old backup – which unfortunately was 4 months old.   So, in short, the forums are back up but all accounts, changes and posts made since August have gone by the wayside.  I’ve finished returning the cosmetic changes I recently made, but lots of substance is gone.  My apologies, everyone.  Now I know to believe the “backup before updating” warning on the software!
